Peninsula Collaboration On Resuscitation
The Peninsula Collaboration On Resuscitation (PenCOR) is a collective of like-minded organisations working together to improve survival from cardiac arrest. The aim of PenCOR is for the NHS, charities, and other organisations, to work together to maximise their resources, efficiency, and impact
The organisations will use their various strengths to deliver parts of the project. Work includes:
- Supporting the funding, installation, and upkeep of public access defibrillators, and ensuring they are registered and ‘rescue ready’
- Teaching CPR and defibrillator skills, particularly in schools and in areas of higher deprivation
- Supporting schools and community groups
- Ensuring a consistent, high-quality response to cardiac arrest, throughout the ‘Chain of Survival’
- Ensuring access to high quality support services for all those affected by cardiac arrest, including survivors and ‘co-survivors’, and those who give CPR
