Group clinics

You might be offered the chance to attend a group clinic to support you in managing an ongoing health condition.

These clinics give you the opportunity to see your healthcare professional and talk to other people with similar health issues to learn together about managing your health condition in a safe, supportive environment.

Just like a normal 1:1 hospital appointment, your group clinic could be held in person, or virtually by video call on Microsoft Teams. Your care team will send you all the details you need about how the clinic is being held and how to join the clinic.

It is your choice to take part. You will be asked to read a group clinic agreement before you attend a group clinic to check that you are happy to participate and that you agree to respect everyone’s privacy and confidentially. You can find out more about the consent process in the video below.

You can find out more about how group clinics work by watching the videos. If you have any further questions then please contact your care team by using the contact details on your appointment letter.
