Birth Place Choices

If you live in Devon and our Midwives are looking after you during your pregnancy, you can choose where you want to have your baby.
Your Midwife will help you understand your choices and talk to you about what’s best for you and your baby.
If You Had a Caesarean Before
If your last baby was born by caesarean (a special kind of operation), we will still support you with your birth choices this time.
Some people may need another caesarean. But others can try to have their baby in the usual way, if it is safe.
Talk to your Midwife to find out what’s right for you. We are here to help.
Get in contact
If you have any urgent health concerns, think you are in labour, or are worried about your baby’s movements, please contact us at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
