Postnatal Ward – Eastern services
Need urgent help?
If you are worried or feel unwell, or if your baby is unwell, please call the maternity triage team on 01392 406616.
If you and your baby are both well and feeding is going well, you may be able to go home a few hours after the birth.
If you or your baby need more care, you will stay in the hospital on the postnatal ward.
Support in hospital
We will help you recover from the birth and support you with feeding and looking after your baby. We want to make sure you feel ready and confident before you go home.
Our hospital ward
- We have 37 beds on the antenatal/postnatal ward.
- We have 4 beds for babies who need extra care with their mothers (transitional care).
